What do we do and why are we different?
We offer a home away from home for small and medium dogs.
We offer boutique care for a select group of 20 dogs only.
Nobody gets overwhelmed and every dog gets the attention and care it deserves.
No kennels, no cages and no doghouses.
Our furry guests sleep and relax with their pack in 1 of our 2 dog cabins.
Our 2 cabins are designed to make your dog feel like home, both cabins have tv and movies, radio, couches and cushions and sheepskins for all! Both cabins have heat pumps an aircon to keep all our guests comfortable in winter and summer.
We live 10 metres from our 2 luxurious dog cabins and playgrounds on a 10 acre property.
No staff, just the freedom family.
We aim to create a bond with your dog so your pooch becomes part of our pack and family.
Our furry guests spend the whole day with us and their mates. We socialize, play, go on bushwalks, explore our awesome property as a pack, enjoy some R&R, watch movies, sunbathe on the decks and get snuggles under the heat pump and aircon.
Dogs are part of the family so we understand you will miss your furry friend.We keep you updated on how your dog is enjoying their holiday with regular personalised pics via WhatsApp.
Every guests gets a warm shower and daily groom (eyes, ears, coat brushing) before pick up, that way your dog will meet you happy and smelling crisp.
ABOUT US
Freedom Dogstay got created out of a need for a home away from home for our 10 year old Frenchie Theo when we travelled or I needed to visit my family who live in Europe.
Disappointed with the many dogs a regular kennel or board facility accommodates we felt like Theo would easily get overwhelmed and overlooked.
Not liking the person per dog ratio at all we never felt relaxed, always fretting he would not get enough attention and snuggles.
The reality that Theo would spend most of his stay crated, kenneled or in a dog house alone did not feel right.
Understanding that this way of boarding is a result of the large numbers most dog boarding places facilitate, we decided to do it different.
20 dogs only, no crates, kennels or doghouses and a whole day with the Freedom Family.
Dogs are pack animals instinctively and all dogs love meeting their new and old friends to play or sniff the grounds with or to sunbathe on the decks or chill under the heat pump and watch a movie.
Dogs love being around people in a home environment. Dogs prefer to sleep on a couch or a bed cuddled up next to their mates instead of alone in a crate.
Dogs respond very well to a routine and dogs know when it's time for exploring and playing and time to settle on the couch and snuggle up.
